It is again with pride, honor, and privilege that I represent the members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Zeta Rho Omega Chapter and share our website with you. Over the past 63 years, the Zeta Rho Omega Chapter has provided outstanding services to the residents of Broward County. As the first graduate chapter located in Broward County, we reach high, above the mark, to provide quality community service projects and events which are rooted and grounded in the fertile soil of our historic Sorority that meet and exceed the needs of our community residents.
Our membership exceeds 165 college educated women, who are dedicated and committed to community service. Throughout our history, we have remained relevant and responsive to the changing patterns in our local community and society.
Under the leadership of our 29th International President Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority remains a vital 21st century service organization that addresses some of the greatest human, civil rights and social issues in our society today. The sorority’s 2014-2018 International Program Initiatives under the platform Launching New Dimensions of Service℠ will address community needs with programs in five target areas:
